The pigment also has a good stability to light, heat and microbe. The water solution of the pigment has a bright and stable yellolwish hue, especially in acid solution, with the absorbance peak at 400nm. The pigment has a good dyeing ability to starch. LD50 is 20 g/kg (rat, mouth)

[Composition]Carthamine and carthamone (Flavone)

[Production]The pigment is derived from soaking, refining and spray-drying.

[Application]Tea, noodles, candy, biscuits, tinned food and wines.
